Argus Fire wins major City of London contract

Argus Fire has won a contract worth over £2 million to design and install the sprinkler systems and water supplies for the £220 million London Wall Place commercial development in the City of London. The contract was awarded by Brookfield Multiplex. The two office buildings have 12 and 16 storeys. With their basements, the total floor space is 46 000 m2.

The first stage of the Argus Fire contract is fitting out the 28 000 m2 shell and core of 1 London Wall Place with 1500 automatic water sprinkler heads connected to 56 zone valves, two multi-stage fire pumps with electric motors, two water-sprinkler storage tanks and two dry risers. The 12-storey building will achieve practical completion in spring 2017.

The company will also carry out a Cat A fit-out for the 17 000 m2 16-storey 2 London Wall Place and install 200 window drenchers. The work will include 65 zone valves, two fire pumps and two storage tanks. There will also be two multi-stage wet-riser pumps and two wet-riser water-storage tanks.
