Cable-management specialist Marshall-Tufflex has made its popular Mini Trunking quicker and easier to install with the addition of pre-punched holes to its MMT2 and MMT4 systems. The holes are 200 mm apart to aid installation, with additional holes for compatibility with Firefly fire-safety clips that hold cables firmly in place in the event of a fire.

‘The improvements to Mini Trunking have been driven by customer feedback and our commitment to continually develop and innovate even our most simple of product ranges,’ said head of innovation and development, Jeremy Dodge.

‘By adding punched holes, we have made it even quicker for installers to fix Mini Trunking and easier for them to incorporate Firefly fire safety clips into the job, aiding compliance with BS 7671:2008 of the Wiring Regulations (Amendment 3) which requires cabling above escape routes to be supported by fire-resistant fastenings and fixings to prevent collapse in extreme heat.’
