Daikin offers cloud-based chiller monitoring

Daikin Applied (UK)’s range of chillers are now supplied with the capability of being monitored and controlled remotely using a web browser. Connecting a LAN or 3G/4G model enables the web data to be transferred. Called Daikin on Site, the software enables chiller systems to be integrated on this cloud-based platform.

The data transfer is secured via event-based outbound communications and connections that are encrypted over https. The data privacy conforms to EU data privacy Chapter 5.

Users of Daikin on Site can create user-friendly personalised dashboards so that the customer only sees what is really important to your installation.

Historical working data and alarm history is available for the whole lifecycle of the chiller operation, and automated reporting setup can provide tailored reporting for when and where it is needed.

Multiple site installations can be accessed through one site portal.

Energy consumption can be up to 20% lower when a chiller is controlled and working in an optimised operational envelope, which can only be achieved with real site working conditions. Daikin on Site prevents the risk of uncontrolled and undiscovered increases in energy consumption.

Faults can be diagnosed before an engineers arrives on site, ensuring that the right parts are taken to site and equipment can be up and running with minimum disruption.
