Plastics ball valve for demanding applications

Durapipe has launched a plastics ball valve for demanding applications. VKD valves are available in ABS, PVC-u, PVC-c, polypropylene and PVDF. A key feature of the VKD valve is a patented ‘Dual Block’ control with anti-vibration properties to resist the mechanical stresses of vibration and thermal expansion that can cause the nuts in other valves to come unlocked. Another feature is the shape of the valve body to enable the direct and easy installation of an actuator, with the use of PowerQuick, the new actuation module. PowerQuick has been developed for the easy assembling of pneumatic or electric actuators or other control devices on the valve body. Working pressure is up to 16 bar at 20°C. These valves are offered in sizes from 16 to 110 mm and 3/8 to 4 in.
