Warm Shower

A Baxi air source heat pump (ASHP) system is supplying energy efficient, low carbon hot water to a new state-of-the-art shower facility at Carmarthenshire Council’s award-winning caravan and camping park.

Pembrey Country Park, named Best Campsite in South West Wales at the 2024 South West Wales Tourism Awards, continues to invest in modern and accessible facilities for its guests. The new shower block, powered by the Baxi ASHP solution, forms part of the council’s wider programme to enhance visitor infrastructure in an environmentally responsible way.

Local M&E consultant Pursey and Ball was appointed to carry out RIBA stages 2 to 7 on the project, overseeing the design, installation and maintenance of the new shower facility, with Baxi providing technical design support as the selected solution provider.

Baxi’s technical sales and design teams made several visits to site before proposing an all-electric ASHP immersion system tailored to the project requirements, which comprised:

• A Baxi Auriga HP40 ASHP
• A 1000l Megaflo Flexistore hot water cylinder

This combination ensures a dependable supply of sanitary hot water for the showers at the facility. Baxi’s specialist engineers commissioned the system and will continue to provide maintenance support to ensure long-term high performance and efficiency.
