Reznor delivers comfort for antique dealers and pigs The unlikely sounding twin challenges of keeping antique dealers warm in winter and pigs cool in summer have been met by Reznor at the Royal Bath & West of England Society. The Edmund Rack Pavilion at the society’s showground in Shepton Mallet has been equipped with air-handling units served by a boiler burning wood pellets made from waste from a carefully managed forestry system to produce LPHW. The air is delivered into the space via Reznor Air Mixing ducts which gently releases air through tiny perforations along its length. The warm or cool air immediately mixes with room air. The ducts are sized according to the air volume to be distributed and their position relevant to the point of use. In summer, the system uses fresh air. The tempered air slightly pressurises the building, forcing out cold air in winter and accumulated hot air in summer. The pavilion is constructed from lightweight sheeting panels, so it was often very cold in winter and stifling hot in summer.
