Key Performance Indicators show big fall in acidents in construction industry

Work-related accidents in the construction-products industry fell by nearly 20% in the year 2005/06, according to the latest Key Performance Indicators. This fall follows a reduction of nearly 30% the previous year, representing a 42% improvement in two years. Commenting on the results, Rita Singh, environmental and industry performance director with the Construction Products Association, said, ‘A reduction in reported accidents of nearly 50% in just two years is fantastic and reflects extremely positively on the industry.
