BACnet compatible and with a guarantee against false alarms — the Sinteso fire-protection system from Siemens
A new fire-protection system from Siemens Building Technologies has integral support for BACnet and Ethernet, so it can communicate with virtually any modern building-management system. The control panels of Sinteso also incorporate support for BACnet over Ethernet as standard, so they can be simply connected to PC-based remote-access terminals and to building-management systems. The range also includes a broad range of detectors and accessories. The control panels also offer, as standard, customisable logic functionality, enabling simple BMS automation functions to be implemented without the need to use a separate PLC and realise substantial cost savings. Central to the range are Sinteso S-Line detectors. They use Siemens patented advanced signal analysis, which works with a pre-stored parameter set chosen by the installer or user to accurately match the operating environment. These detectors compare signals from their sensors with the chosen parameters to produce an accurate real-time assessment of the situation. High sensitivity is achieved and the risk of false alarms virtually eliminated. To emphasise its confidence in the new S-Line products, Siemens offers a guarantee against false alarms as well as a system-lifetime guarantee.
