Keraflo extends its range of float valves

Designed for Type AA and AB air gaps where valves larger than 1 in are needed is Keraflo’s Aylesbury KAX float valve
Keraflo’s Aylesbury KAX float valve is available in four sizes from 11/4 to 2 in and is therefore particularly suitable for Type AA and AB air gaps where valves larger than 1 in are required. These valves have a fixed opening differential between opening and closing of 75 mm. Water is delivered via an up-and-over discharge pipe to facilitate air-gap compliance and provide back-siphonage protection in accordance with BS 1212 Part 2. KAX valves remain fully open until upward pressure on the puncture-proof float causes it to close in a single action. These valves using rotating ceramic discs with their ports aligned when open and misaligned when closed. As there are no seats or washers to wear out, they are virtually indestructible and require no maintenance. The method of operation eliminates water dribble, water hammer, valve bounce and pump hunting in pumped systems. It can also help reduce stagnation and destratification in water tanks to reduce legionella risks.
