Understanding biofuels

Insight to biofuels for boilers — key facts from Dunphy.
Dunphy Combustion has produced a ‘Key facts’ booklet for engineers considering the use of biofuels as a single fuel source or as one of several multi-fuels. The enormous variety of biofuels available and issues relating to blending biofuels make it difficult for engineers to write specifications for consistently high-efficiency, low-emissions plant. Dunphy’s technical laboratories test recovered and pure vegetable oils for viscosity and other key characteristics. This booklet brings together key data about zero net carbon combustion and is available free.
