Chalmor offers 7-channel lighting controller

Chalmor
Sophisticated lighting control at a competitive price — Chalmor’s Autolux controller has seven channels, each of which can be used with six sensors.
With seven channels providing a combination of timed, switching, occupancy and response to changing light levels, Chalmor’s Autolux controller is described as providing the functionality of a high-end lighting-management system for a fraction of the cost. It is also said to be intuitive for end users to operate. Each channel can be used with up to six sensors of various types, such as presence detectors and photocells, to control multiple functions within a single zone or multiple zones from a single controller. Autolux is said to provide very much more flexibility, functionality and accuracy than photocells and time switches, with more consistent switching and maximum energy savings in areas with high levels of natural daylight. Other features include a channel for temperature monitoring and a ‘panic’ override to switch all lighting from a single switch. Users can view the status of the system using a display with scrolling functions to switch from one zone to another. The font panel also offers two levels of PIN-controlled programming — for the user and the engineer, who can fine tune the system to ensure that the control strategy exactly matches the user’s requirements.
