Stokvis provides the solution for DHW with less energy

Centralised DHW plant using calorifiers in an apartment block in London has been replaced with a Stokvis plate-heat-exchanger system — and will reduce fuel consumption by 15%.
An immediate 15% reduction in fuel consumption is confidently expected following the upgrading of boiler plant in an apartment block in central London with new equipment from Stokvis Energy Systems. Built between the wars, Montrose Court in Exhibition Road is unusual in that the 84 flats each have their own central-heating boilers but share a domestic-hot-water supply. Faced with mounting maintenance costs for this plant, the managing agents gave mechanical-engineering consultant Vican the go-ahead to install three Stokvis Econoflame boilers with a pair of plate heat exchangers and to 500 litre buffer vessels. The boilers are set up so that the duty is shared evenly. The equipment was installed by Millbank Environmental.
