Designed for long life in arduous conditions — the Workhorse fan range from VES Andover.
VES Andover has developed a range of fans designed for reliability and to work continuously in arduous environments. They have a life expectancy for bearings in excess of 200 000 h with continuous running temperatures up to 150°C. The Workhorse range incorporates backward-curved centrifugal fans and can handle air volumes from 0.5 to 10 m3/s with working pressures up to 1300 Pa. Other features include a fitted access door and drain plug for quick and easy cleaning. The motor is prewired to a weatherproof isolator, and a drive guard is fitted as standard. Inverters can be provided for speed control. making them particularly suitable for kitchen extract, for which purpose they are available with fitted run and standby motors. Workhorse fans are suitable for universal mounting, with the scroll mountable in eight different positions. The scroll can be turned round for opposite handing. Options included anti-vibration mounts, high-temperature flexible connections and channel bases. Matching circular and cleanable rectangular silencers are also available. vesltd@ves.co.uk

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
