Heat-recovery ventilation for larger dwellings is provided by Xpelair’s Xcell 270 whole-house heat-recovery unit.
Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery for larger dwellings is provided by Xpelair Xcell 270 unit. It uses the latest UltraDC technology for reduce energy consumption in operation and increase its life up to fivefold. The product is listed on the SAP Appendix Q accredited register for products that can demonstrate reductions in carbon emissions as calculated for Part L of the Building Regulations, as well as being recognised by the Energy Saving Trust as best practice. Xcell 270 uses the latest generation of counterflow heat-recovery cells, which can achieve a heat-recovery efficiency of up to 95%. There is a choice of 12 speeds for the fans, of which three would normally be selected for an installation based on the required duty. A remote 3-speed selector switch is provided with the unit. These units are housed in an insulated steel cabinet with powder coating and high-density-foam insulation. The built-in double-sided condensate tray has a choice of drain positions. They can be installed in a loft and have a wall hanging bracket.
