Trox strengthens its senior management team in response to unprecedented growth

Hard on the heels of major and rapid growth over the last 18 months, Trox has expanded its senior team. Managing director David Leatherbarrow explains, ‘The business has grown by 50% over the last 18 months, and with the success of Trox advanced IT cooling systems we needed to increase the skills within the business to maintain and improve our customer service levels — and that process is still continuing across the business at all levels.’ One of the first changes was Terry Farthing’s decision to relinquish his position as sales director after career with Trox spanning over 30 years. He now works on a part-time basis as head of communications and manages the Trox Academy and the company’s PR activities He has been replaced as sales director by Alan Basnett, who has worked for the company for 17 years — starting in the Manchester sales office and then moving to London in 2001 to head the southern sales team. Iam Sams has been promoted from marketing manager to business manager for strategy and planning, working for David Leatherbarrow. Neil Addison has been promoted to southern regional sales manager. To strengthen export activity, Mark Dawes has been appointed export manager. He has considerable international experience in sales and product management, having worked in France in an international capacity for over seven years. Juergen Dieris has joined the UK technical team from Trox Germany as product development co-ordinator. He has considerable experience in R&D and product management for chilled beams, air distribution and fire dampers.
