Complying with Part M

Legrand has prepared a brochure on compliance with Part M of the Building Regulations (access to and use of buildings). Steve Willmore, Legrand’s regulations and standards manager, explains, ‘Part M has been around for a considerable length of time, but as it’s only applicable to applications for Building Regulations submitted after 1 May 2004, it means that only recently has it begun to have a major impact on the market. ‘As a result, we’ve faced a barrage of questions about Part M and what it means in terms of our products and solutions.’ The brochure gives a brief overview of the key points of the regulations and a 4-point explanation of how to comply using Legrand’s products. There is also a rundown of the company’s products that are compliant with Part M.
