Davis Langdon team ‘grims’ and bears it

An intrepid team of 28 from project and cost consultancy Davis Langdon has raised around £25 000 for charity by taking part in the Grim Challenge at Aldershot training barracks. The challenge consists of an 8 mile race around the very muddy assault course, involving running, crawling and wading through waist-deep water. The water was particularly deep for this challenge at the beginning of December as it was the wettest year the event has taken place. All the team completed the course, with graduate cost manager Steven Ford putting in the fastest time of 1 h, 9 min and 26 s. The money raised went to children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent. James Clark, a partner with Davis Langdon, comments, ‘It was an early start and shocking weather, but the whole of the team finished, and there were some truly epic performances. Most importantly, we managed to raise a good sum of money for a deserving charity, thanks, in no small part, to the overwhelming generosity of our clients, colleagues and our many friends in the industry.
