Rauthermex chosen for district-heating scheme

Rauthermex
Rehau’s Rauthermex pre-insulated PEXa pipework has been supplied for a district-heating scheme of 250 units by Bellaway Homes. The Park 25 development in Redhill has a ring main using the Rauthermex system to supply to supply heating and hot water for each apartment. The corrugation of the outer jacket permits tight bends with small forces, so fewer connections are needed. It is part of a sustainable heating scheme designed by MCA Consulting Engineers and installed by SIAS Building Services. The heat source is an 840 kW wood-chip boiler with a gas-fired back up.
