Fluorescent tubes retain glass and phosphors if they are broken
GE Lighting’s T5 CovRguard range of linear fluorescent lamps include a 0.38 mm-thick Lexan plastic shield around the tube to contain glass fragments and phosphors if a lamp is broken.
