Small and quiet Remeha boilers meet requirements of student accommodation

New student accommodation at Loughborough University is served by Remeha Avanta combi boilers.
The small size and quiet running of Remeha Avanta 28c combi boilers were among the reasons for their installation in student accommodation at Loughborough University. Alan Hudson of Excelsior Services, which installed the boilers, explains, ‘They had to be installed in small living spaces, so it was felt a quiet-running boiler was important. There was also the option that the preheat can be easily switch off via the boiler’s control panel if the person living there finds it disturbs him or her when it cycles during the night. The size and weight and warranty also helps in this particular instance, as well as the competitive price.’ 10 of these boilers have been installed, and they were supplied by Crossling plumbing and pipeline merchant, based in Sunderland. Avanta boilers have compact dimensions of 670 mm high, 400 mm wide and 300 mm deep. Their lift weight, depending on the model, is 20 to 32 kg. A telescopic flue system gives an extra 100 mm clearance above the boiler.
