LG reduces the size of its Universal outdoor units

Smaller and with more features — LG’s Universal range of outdoor air-conditioning units.
LG’s Universal outdoor air-conditioning units have been reduced in size and incorporate a series of additions and improvements. Universal condensers up to 8 kW (UU30) are now single fan. The larger 14 and 15 kW models (UU48 and UU60) with upward discharge have been replaced by smaller, tombstone double-fan horizontal-discharge units. Ease of siting, installation and commissioning are other key benefits of this range, which can serve cassettes, ducted and convertible units. The new Universal range is claimed to be one of the quietest of its type on the UK market and now has a ‘silent night’ mode. These new units use high-efficiency DC inverter compressors with digital technology for accurate capacity control. As the room reaches the set temperature, the inverter slows down rather than cycling on and off.
