HCP perimeter heating contributes to a warm welcome at Pancras

Specially made to contribute to the aesthetics of the travelators at St Pancras International Station is 300 m of stainless-steel perimeter heating from HCP.
Some 300 m of bespoke stainless-steel perimeter heater has been supplied by HCP to provide perimeter heating for the travelators at St Pancras International station. It serves the nine travelators that carry passengers to and from the departure and arrivals lounges. The travelators have full-height glazing on both sides to channel daylight down from the train shed to brighten up the once dark Undercroft area. The floor-mounted perimeter heating runs along the internal side of the glazing to provide comfort and prevent condensation on the glazing. The perimeter heating is bolted to the floor and located behind protective railings to prevent accidental damage from passengers and luggage. It matches the brushed stainless-steel sides of the travelators and the protective railings and looks striking beside the dark hardwood floor.
