Vertical cascade flue system rises to 11 storeys

The connection of 87 Geminox combined appliances to vertical cascade flues to provide heating and hot water in an 11-storey residential tower in north London has minimised flue penetrations through the facade.
Vertical cascade flues serving Geminox combined appliances to provide heating and hot water for a development of 87 apartments in north London have considerably reduced flue penetrations, maintaining the facade of the building. All the boilers were connected to this high-rise cascade flue installation, enabling them to share a common 110 mm flue up to 11 storeys. The ZEM B120 combined appliances and vertical cascade flues were supplied to Circle 33 Housing Association by Evinox. The 5-25 B120 has a built in 120 l hot-water tank providing 21 l/min and hot-water recovery from 10 to 60°C in just 12 min. In heating mode, dual modulation enables these boilers to turn down to just 5 kW. Built-in weather compensation provides the efficiency required for planning. A built-in micro-processor enables fan speed to be adjusted to suit flue conditions and provide a balanced boiler and flue system, optimising performance and efficiency and enabling full output to be achieved. These cascade flue systems comply with Part E of the Building Regulations.
