Liebert dual-circuit chilled-water cooling units bring benefits to data centres

Liebert
Liebert’s HPM dual-circuit chilled-water cooling unit for applications such as data centres has two independent circuits to maximise the availability of air conditioning. They are made by Emerson Power Network. Providing two independent circuits in a single unit rather than using two units provides high availability of business applications and low total cost of ownership. Both circuits can operate during the day to provide air conditioning for buildings with extensive working areas, with one circuit working at night to serve the data-centre facilities. Two circuits also guarantee redundancy and performance with a single unit, reducing the space requirement. Further savings can be achieved using EC fans which continuously control the flow of air to reduce energy consumption. HPM Dual CW Circuit units are available with cooling capacities from 20 to 120 kW per circuit. The iCOM control system can connect directly to the infrastructure’s Ethernet network, enabling units to communicate and synchronise to achieve a high level of efficiency.
