Guidance to energy and carbon emissions regulations

CIBSE’s key guide to energy and carbon-emissions regulations is now available. ‘Energy and carbon emissions regulations: a guide to implementation (EPBR)’ is a key source of information on the ‘Energy Performance of Building Regulations’. It serves as a comprehensive guide to the various regulations and covers Energy Performance Certificates, Display Energy Certificates, inspection of boilers and inspection of air-conditioning systems. Nick Cullen, principal author of the publication, explains in the foreword, ‘The growing awareness that mankind has changed the Earth’s climate has given rise to a profound change in the way we view the buildings that we live and work within. ‘Government has introduced a variety of measures over the last decade to decrease the carbon footprint of the built environment. The document describes those measures most closely related to design, construction and operation of buildings.’
