Balfour Kilpatrick wins £3 million hospice contract in Glasgow

The £3 million M&E services contract for this new hospice in Scotland has been awarded to Balfour Kilpatrick.
Balfour Kilpatrick has been awarded a £3 million M&E services contract for a new purpose-built hospice at Stobhill General Hospital in Glasgow. The company expects to start work on site early in 2009, and the project is due for completion towards the end of the year. The client is Sir Robert McAlpine, DTA is the consultant, and the ultimate client is Marie Curie Trust. This hospice will provide modern facilities for those with terminal illnesses and their families. It will also offer respite care, complementary therapies and counselling services for the surrounding community. The service cares for around 12 000 patients each year.
