Daikin increases water-cooling options

Daikin
Daikin has increased the advantages of water cooling for heat pumps and VRV air conditioning.

Daikin Europe has introduced a water-cooled heat pump and heat-recovery VRVIII system, extending the third generation of this very efficient and advanced technology. New features include individual heating and cooling changeover on the heat-recovery option. A COP of 6 and EER of 5 are said to be the highest ratings in the market.

A new 8 hp model complements the existing 10 hp model. There is also a model for geothermal energy projects. The new 8 hp outdoor unit allows nine configurations from 8 to 30 hp. Up to 36 indoor units can be connected from the expanded range of 13 indoor units in 75 variations.

The addition of the VRVIII BS box heat-recovery unit allows heating or cooling to be selectable per indoor unit.

Water cooling reduces the size and weight of a system and increases flexibility because there are virtually no restrictions on the length and height of water pipes. Refrigerant piping lengths have also been increased, with total lengths up to 300 m.
