Ex-Or offers dual-circuit lighting control for school classrooms

Ex-Or

The Gold Series LightSpot from Ex-Or is designed to provide sophisticated lighting control in school classrooms to help schools save energy and meet Government targets for carbon reduction.

Microwave detection technology is used, which is more sensitive than PIR and covers a wider area. The detection zone of a Gold LightSpot is 7 m in diameter.

The controls also incorporate photocells for daylight control.

Dual-circuit capability means that lights nearest windows can be dimmed or switched off when ambient light levels are high, with the rest of the lights in the monitored area reacting only to movement — using just one detector.

Commissioning is carried out using an infrared remote programmer with settings chosen from the programmer’s menu and sent to the detector at the touch of a button.
