Glow-worm launches flat-plate solar panel kits

Glow-Worm

Glow-worm’s latest generation of Clearly Solar flat-plate collectors comprises 3.2 mm low-iron safety glass and serpentine copper absorber. They are only 80 mm deep with a dry weight of 38 kg.

These panels come in packs containing various combinations of one, two and three panels in horizontal and vertical formats. They can be installed with a Glow-worm open-vent or system boiler and the Glow-worm unvented twin-coil cylinder to create a Clearly Solar system.

Packs contain all necessary fittings — including solar expansion and protection vessels, automatic air separator, solar pump unit, pre-mixed solar fluid and solar controller. There is a choice of pack for all UK roof types, a new kit to integrate panels into the roof instead of tiles and A frames for mounting panels on the ground on flat roofs.

The pipework pack contains two 15 m lengths of insulated DN16 pope and relevant fittings.
