Taconova enlarges its range of Danfoss commissioning valves

Maximum flows of up to 11 m3/h and differential pressure can both be controlled by Danfoss flow-mounted AVP valves from Taconova.

Taconova (UK) has added Danfoss AVP differential-pressure controllers to its range of self-acting valves for controlling flow and differential pressure.

Flow-mounted AVP valves have bronze bodies and can be used on heating, multiple air-handling unit sand chilled-water systems with thermostatic or electrically driven 2-port control valves. They restrict flow when the differential pressure rises to help maintain constant differential pressure across a sub-branch and protect downstream control valves from excessive pressure.

Controlling differential pressure in this way nullifies the effects of pressure variations caused by the movement of control valves in other branches to ensure energy-efficient system operation.

In systems with 2-port control valves, an APV valve can control maximum volume and differential pressure, simplifying commissioning. Once a sub-circuit has been balanced, its APV valve prevents its flow and balance being affected by other sub-circuits.

They come as threaded fittings in sizes from ? to 2 in for flows up to 11 m3/h.
