Nearing completion by Skerritt is the £3.8 million M&E contract for the Becket School in Nottingham.

Building-services contractor Skerritt has strengthened its presence in the education sector with a contract worth £3.8 million. The company is nearing completion on a 52-week programme of electrical and mechanical works at the 120 000 m2 Becket School in Nottingham.

This contract for main contractor Rok Building is part of Skerritt’s £12 million programme of education works for 2007/8, which includes Nottingham University’s Jubilee Campus and Leicester Grammar School.

Skerritt is providing all M&E services in Becket School, which will provide 1050 secondary-school places. It includes a sophisticated BEMS, rainwater harvesting with a 25 000 l underground tank and a small-scale wood-chip boiler. Consulting engineers are Couch Perry Wilkes.
