Oventrop conquers The Peak in London

Oventrop valves are used throughout this development in central London, including valves for the indepenant commissioning of each floor.

Each floor of the 9-storey development known as The Peak in central London is independently balanced using Oventop hydronic balancing valves, making it easier for tenants to make changes should they need to. Other equipment supplied by Oventrop for this headquarters and retail building opposite Victoria Station include valves for boiler-room isolation, differential-pressure and double-regulating valves and a number of TRV/ lockshield combinations. Other Oventrop isolation valves are installed throughout the building.

The Peak has retail units on the ground and first floors, offices from the second to sixth floor with clear spaces of 950 m2. Above the seventh floor, a curved roof profile rises another three floors, two of which are offices and the third a plant room.

There is also a basement plant room housing a gas-fired condensing boiler with pumps and pressurisation unit. There is also a water-storage tank room, an oil tank for a rooftop generator and an air-handling-unit room. All valves used at this level were supplied by Oventrop, including gas and the oil-tank isolation facilities.

Sustainable features include heat pumps linked to ground-source cooling and solar-thermal hot water, both of which use Oventrop valves. There are also solar PV arrays.
