SES wins major M&E contract in Newbury

The £7.1 million M&E contract for this development in Newbury has been awarded to SES.

SES has won a £7.1 million M&E contract to install the services at Standard Life Investment’s Parkway development in the centre of Newbury. The work will be carried out by SES’s west and central division. Work is due to start on site early in 2010 and will continue on site until March 2011/

Working with principal contractor and partner Costain, SES will install heating, lighting, power, fire alarm, security, CCTV public-address systems, rainwater harvesting, sprinkler systems, car-park smoke-clearance ventilation, general ventilation and BMS for this new retail and residential development.

The 44 000 m2 scheme will include a 7200 m2 full-range Debenhams department store, three large stores of up to 2300 m2 and more than 50 shops and kiosks. The project also incorporates new restaurants, cafes and 184 apartments.
