Durapipe shows its benefits in first phase of Greenwich Millennium Village

The benefits of Durapipe SuperFLO pipework have been exploited in the first phase of the Greenwich Millennium Village development in London.

A wide range of Durapipe SuperFLO pipework has been installed in the first phase of the £200 million Greenwich Millennium Village development in London. The three buildings will see 229 affordable and accessible apartments constructed to meet the requirement of the London Borough of Greenwich that 35% of the development must be affordable housing.

Contractor DGR Mechanical specified Durapipe SuperFLO for cold-water services. It has been installed in sizes up to 63 mm to transfer water from the tank in the basement of each building and distribute it throughout the apartment block.

This pipework material resists the buildup of limescale that would cause friction and increase energy requirements for pumping. Its light weight also made it quicker and easier to transport and install.
