Contract maintains efficiency of plate heat exchangers

PHE
Sustained efficiency in the generation of domestic hot water is provided by maintenance contracts for plate heat exchangers by HeatExchangerSpares.com.

HeatExchangerSpares.com has set up a dedicated maintenance department to service all leading brands of plate heat exchangers. A maintenance contract guarantees a least two visits a year, discounts on spare parts, preferential service call-out and detailed service report. The company says that it has witnessed many techniques being used to try to reduce the build-up of scale in plate heaters used to generate domestic hot water, which only slow down its build up.

The company has found that the only effective way to deal with scale is to have a planned refurbishment programme to prolong the life of the equipment and maintain efficiency. Spare plate packs can be held on site ready for the next service or emergency shutdown to ensure hot water is always available. Downtime is usually kept to less than an hour, with visits arranged to coincide with quiet periods.
