It provides best-practice guidance for the design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of building-services energy-metering systems to provide the information needed for the effective monitoring and targeting that is an essential part of good energy management.

The guide covers compliance with relevant Building Regulations, meeting statutory requirements for Display Energy Certificates and takes a look at future legislation such as the Carbon Reduction Commitment and changes to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
