Winner of a Green Apple Environment Award, Grundfos Pumps’ pump audit tool

Grundfos Pumps has made it five years in a row for winning a highly regarded Green Apple Environment Award, run by The Green Organisation. For the 2009 awards, Grundfos entered the engineering category with its pump audit tool, which offers businesses a professional on-site check-up for pumping systems by measuring the overall efficiency of pumps in situ.

A report is then prepared which includes recommendations for a more efficient system to save money and conserve energy resources. In the UK, pumps consume over 47 TWh of electricity each year, about 32% of all electric-motor consumption in industry and commerce.
