Air curtains make for better welcome at Welcome Break

JS Air Curtains
The installation of JS air curtains at Membury Services of Welcome Break has improved the welcome for travellers.

JS Air Curtains has supplied eight air curtains to the Welcome Break services station at Membury on the M4. There are five 2 m-wide Windbox air curtains and three HeatScreen air curtains on the front entrance, rear entrance and some internal doorways. They were installed by Russell Air Conditioning.

Ray Drinkwater, facilities manager at Membury Services, explains, ‘Without the air curtains, the doors acted like a wind tunnel, with cold air blowing right through. The air curtains from JS were recommended by Russell Air Conditioning and have done a great job in stopping the cold air entering.’

In total, these air curtains can provide over 21 00 m3/h of airflow to seal the doorways. As well as keeping heat in during the Winter, they can be used with the heaters off in the Summer to prevent conditioned air escaping.
