New software from T&A can communicate with TA-Scope balancing instrument

Tour & Andersson has upgraded its design software for piped distribution systems. TA-Select 4 is said to be a significant improvement on TA-Select 3 and incorporates greater features and further design functionalities for HVAC consultants and specifiers. The new functions also provide simple synchronising with the recently launched TA-Scope balancing instrument.

From information about the system’s differential pressure, design flow for terminal units and pipe lengths, the new software will determine the pump head required and what control and balancing valves are required. It also provides an uploading package with which updates can be directly transferred to the TA-Scope measuring device.

The software can send system updates direct to a TA-Scope, helping to speed up balancing and enable the installer to check that commissioning is in line with the original design.

Information relating to differential pressure, flow rates, temperature and power can be automatically verified and download from a TA-Scope to the TA-Select 4 software.
