Hitachi, air conditioning

Hitachi Europe has improved the energy efficiency of its Summit range of wall-mounted air conditioners by 23%. EER for cooling is over 3.2, with COP for heating of over 3.6. Summit units now have an A rating, up from the previous D.

Noise levels are as low as 24 dB(A). The new units have washable carbon and anti-bacterial air-purifying files that can be washed and reused up to 20 times.

The units come with a wireless remote controller. There are also two wired control options — a simplified controller and a remote controller with 7-day timer that includes freeze protection.

The new units come with a 3-year warranty.
