The ultimate in domestic circulators from Grundfos
The Alpha2 range of domestic circulating pumps from Grundfos Pumps has an A Energy Label and is described as the most advanced energy-efficient domestic circulator of its kind on the market. The reduction in power consumption has been achieved using permanent-magnet motor technology. Using pressure-controlled operation, power consumption can be reduced to as little as 5 W.
Maximum power consumption is 32 W for the 15-50 model and 45 W for the 15-60; the numbers indicate head in kPa.
The European EuP Directive requires that only A-rated glandless circulators can be installed from 2013. With over 120 million circulator pumps in Europe, the estimated energy saving is 44 000 GWh a year — equivalent to the output of five nuclear power stations.
