Hamworthy introduces new boiler sequence controller

To achieve good control of multiple-boiler installations, Hamworthy Heating has introduced the Merley boiler sequence controller. Using Siemens controls platform technology, the Merley can control up to 16 boiler modules, based on time and temperature requirements.

Adaptable control capability enables the Merley sequence controller to be integrated with most commercial-heating designs as a stand-alone device or as an integrated part of a more dynamic building-management system.

Numerous control strategies are offered. They include time and comfort control, time clock and optimiser, variable or constant flow temperature, night setback and frost protection.

Wireless sensors make installation easy. Changing the lead boiler regularly and preventing re-firing too quickly reduces wear and tear.

Users are alerted when a fault occurs, and boilers at fault are replaced to provide continuity of service.
