Electric air curtains designed for high efficiency

JS Air Curtains
These Intensse electrically heated air curtains supplied by JS Air Curtains for a hospice in Worthing have a fast response and use up to 20% less energy than conventional electric air curtains.

Four designer air curtains have been supplied by JS Air Curtains for a new £13.5 million hospice in Worthing. Two 1.5 m and two 2 m Intensse air curtains prevent cold air entering the reception of Barnabas House. They were specified by design consultants John Packer Associated of Uckfield and installed by SMS Southern of Brighton.

The Intensse air curtain has an attractive oval design, strip lighting, built-in fragrance option and germicidal UVc lamp to eliminate airborne viruses and micro-organisms. It is dark grey with black colour trims.

Quick-heating wire elements and energy-saving power regulation reduce energy consumption by up to 20% compared to standard electrically heated air curtain. Response time is 5 to 10 s, compared with two minutes for a stainless-steel heating rod to reach temperature. As the internal temperature nears its set point, power to the elements is pulsed to reduce energy consumption and maintain a more consistent internal temperature.
