Rinnai water heaters get efficiency boost

Rinnai, domestic hot water, DHW, water heater

Design improvements to Rinnai’s Infinity continuous-flow hot-water systems have increased net efficiency from 90 to 105% and reduced gas consumption by about 16%. The pre-mix ceramic burner system has also reduced NOx emissions to just 30 ppm. The Infinity range can be installed indoors or outdoors and has very precise control of temperature, even if other outlets are suddenly opened.

The 16i model has a flow of 15.2 l/min raised through 33 K. Its temperature range is 37 to 60°C, and the exhaust system is a room-sealed forced flue.

Another model in the range, the 26i, automatically shuts off the flow of hot water if its temperature raised by 3 K above the set point. Exhaust is via a direct-vent forced flue. Its flow is 19.6 l/min raised by 33 K. Temperature range is 37 to 85°C.

These water heaters are designed to be used direct off the mains and can use natural gas or LPG.
