Tridonic brings new capabilities to LED lighting systems

Tridonic, LED lighting control

Tridonic has launched a new-generation energy-saving system for use with LED downlights and spotlights in general lighting systems. Compared with previous versions, the Stark SLE delivers 40% more light output and a longer life of up to 50 000 h. This latest-generation TALEXXengine still consists of a matched LED module and LED converter.

LED modules are available in Classic and Select versions with a CRI in excess of 80 or 90. There is also a Premium version with a CRI of over 90, as well as more dimming and control capabilities.

Efficacy is 145 lm/W for an LED module and up to 115 lm/W for a system.

The system also offers improved quality of illumination, with very tight colour tolerances equivalent to McAdam 3. This provides reproducible white light in colour temperatures of 3000, 4000 and 5000 K. There is a special ‘gold’ colour for baked good and a special ‘red’ for meat.

As white light always appears to be very uniform, even at narrow radiation angles, the Premium version can produce freely controllable and dimmable white light (tunable) white along the Planckian curve from 2700 to 6500 K.
