Briggs & Forrester signs off Finchley Hospital

Briggs & Forrester

Briggs & Forrester has completed the £5 million contract for the mechanical, electrical and public-health engineering services for Finchley Memorial. The work for this 9000 m2 project included co-ordination, installation, commissioning and handover. The project has achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

Helping to achieve this BREEAM rating is a CHP unit and a large solar PV array.

Briggs & Forrester used 3D CAD modelling techniques and other lean-construction processes to benefit the delivery programme and targets for reducing environmental impact and waste.

This new hospital has a lower-ground floor, three upper storeys and rooftop plant rooms. It provides much improved and enlarged facilities for Barnet NHS Trust.
