New t-mac products bring visibility to installers

The latest generation of t-mac Technologies’ energy-monitoring and management hardware, known as G2, gives installers increased visibility into energy management through integrated displays and increased capacity. Built-in displays mean that installers do not need to rely on a laptop’s Internet connection to verify that wired and wireless sensors, meters and control devices have been correctly installed.

Displays are built into the G2 Mini and Maxi systems (pictured), Micro BEMS and the updated G2 Esti-meter sub-metering device.

Installers can check system diagnostics and change settings on site rather than having to call a help centre or look online for readings. The screens also enable new sensors, wired and wireless, to be added.

Installers can also turn outputs on and off to check wiring, so they can check their own electrical installation.

Lisa Gingell, director of t-mac, says, ‘In the past, there have been issues for some installers on site needing to access our online system or call the customer-support team to check data. Our G2 products will allow installers to see what is happening on the ground and how their actions are impacting installation. They will be able to fault-find their own installation, as well as checking metering and monitoring points and changing settings.

The G2 Esti-meter now has 24 CT inputs, compared to the previous maximum of eight, so a whole distribution board can be monitored from one product. There are also four configurable inputs for utilities such as gas, water and electricity; these inputs can also monitor environmental conditions such as outside temperature.
