Surface-mounted presence detector

CP Electroincs, presence detector, lighting control

CP Electronics’ EBDSPIR presence detector is now available as a surface-mounted version. It can be used for the automatic control of lighting, heating and ventilation. This versatile unit is self contained and easy to install via a back plate. it is also available as a flush-mounted unit for ceiling tiles.

This detector uses passive infra-red (PIR) to monitor the zone. It will switch on when occupancy is detected and off when the area is vacated following a preset time delay that can be adjusted between 10 s and 30 min.

If there is sufficient natural light, a built-in photocell will keep the lighting switched off. A manual on/off over-ride is available via an options infra-red handset.

There are no external control boxes, considerably reducing installation time.
