Norland takes on maintenance contract for City’s Tower 42

Norland is now responsible for maintaining M&E systems for Tower 42 in the City of London, as well as all building-fabric works. The appointment marks the extension of the relationship with BNP Paribas Real Estate. The estate at Old Broad Street, of which Tower 42 is the central feature, comprises other buildings managed by BNP Paribas, for two of which Norland provides M&E maintenance.

Norland was required to mobilise the contract in a live environment in 60 days without interrupting day-to-day activities in the businesses in the tower. During the process, Norland completed a full asset audit and used it to design a planned and preventative maintenance regime in keeping with the prestigious environment.

As resident provider of M&E services, Norland also offers its services to individual tenants.

Tony Brearley, director of Norland’s managing-agents capability, says, ‘We now deliver services to three of the tallest buildings in the City of London.
