Large solar PV project uses micro-inverters

Brill Energy, Enphase, SolarPV, PV, inverter, renewable energy
Enphase micro-inverters in this large solarPV installation by Brill Energy increase output compared with string inverters.

Brill Energy has used the Enphase micro-inverter system on a 28.5 kW solarPV installation at STM Power Transmissions in Winsford, Cheshire — one of the largest micro-inverter-controlled systems in the north of England. The Enphase system enables more electricity to be generated than installations based on string inverter.

Paul Hallinan of Brill Energy says, ‘With the installation of this system, Brill Energy highlights the advantage of micro-inverter equipment in the UK. Micro-inverted solarPV is rapidly becoming recognised as leading the way in UK PV systems.’

Paul Nightingale, UK managing director of Enphase Energy, adds, ‘The radiation from the Sun in the north of England is lower than the south, so using Enphase’s micro-inverter system makes perfect sense — maximising the energy output of each solar panel.’
